So what if when you are uploading a skin, what if there was a button you could click that would make the skin not downloadable to others?
Alright so as someone who likes to have a unique Minecraft skin that only I use, I think that this would be really useful. Basically I'm asking for a feature that allows you to post skins just for show, a feature where you don't have to worry about other people downloading your private skins. This way everyone can post their main skin to show others without the worry of someone using their skin.
100% yes! I've been wanting this for years T_T Mods, texture packs, maps, etc all have the option to not have downloads, but skins dont, which I always thought was odd. I've seen some poeple upload their skins as blogs to prevent dowload, so its clearly something people want TvT
Maps are the only downloadable submission type we allow to not have downloads currently, mods/texture packs have to have them. That being said while I dont necessarily agree with the reasoning most people have with wanting this feature I agree it should be added and its regularly brought up in the mod chat as a suggested feature, probably one of the most requested feature as far as tickets go.
Ohhhh gotcha, I don’t look at mods or texture packs often so I thought they had that option too; I think maybe I was thinking about the ones you have to pay to download? 🤔
But yeah, I get why, since skins are purely cosmetic it might seem a bit… silly? for a lack of better words, to disabled downloads. but i personally would love the option so i could post commissions and also prevent or lessen skin theft :^)
