Hello, and welcome to my interview with the lovely CaelChan! ♥ She is a very talented skin creator and an excellent digital artist, and has been an enthusiastic member of the PMC community since 2017. x I hope you enjoy our interview!
My questions are in blue; her answers are in light blue. x
1. What inspired you to start making Minecraft skins?
1. I was actually inspired to make mc skins when first joining skindex, and editing skins for myself to use. I then decided I didn't want to simply edit anymore and slowly learned to make my own!
2. How did you discover PMC? What is one of your favourite memories of the site?
2. I've known of PMC for as long as I can remember and it was kinda an elite place only pros went to. I would go online and surf for cool skins to wear, and I was a huge stan of LaurenAngels_'s work. I think my favorite memory on the site would be my 18th birthday, when during lockdown everything was tense and stressful, but a lot of people took the time in their day to wish me a happy birthday, even those I never really interacted with. It was a super wholesome moment for me.
3. Do you have a persona? If so, what inspired you to create them?
3. Yes I do have a persona! In fact, I have 3. The first one, Aerwyna was created out of my love for the sea. She represented everything I was when I was 15 and how I wanted to portray myself. My second persona is Serafina, who embodied fire. She was who I wanted to be in the future! Bold and strong, and willing to protect others. My last persona is Kyrsallis, my sad ghost child. He represented my sadness and pent-up anger, embodied into a child that represented my past.
4. Do you have a favourite submission that you've made? Your favourite that someone else has made?
4. I'm not sure if I have a favorite submission of mine or others, there's always some amazing content coming out! from other people.
5. Who would you say has influenced or inspired you the most on PMC?
5. I've been influenced and inspired by a lot of people! To name a few would be Prince Ren, wqtermxlon and bluetatu's colouring style, GingerPie' and TsukiaKari 's ideas, Mangled, Kirigiri, len-kun, eluusive, Kawaii, Rhines, oPlanchette, duckiez, and many more!
6. If you could add one feature to PMC, what would it be? Would you remove any preexisting features, and if so, which one(s)?
6. I would add the feature to have multiple skins on 1 submission. That would make it so much easier to do skins with alts instead of putting them in the descriptions.
7. Do you have a favourite art piece that you've drawn? What makes it special to you?
7. Yes I do actually! This is my favorite art piece, mainly because I felt I was able to reach a style I was satisfied with. Sadly I haven't been able to reach it again :(
8. What would you consider your greatest accomplishment here on PMC? In real life?
8. I'm not sure what my greatest accomplishment here on PMC would be, but most likely it would probably be passing over 1,000 subscribers. That's a lot of people!
9. What advice would you give to a new PMC member?
9. My advice to a new PMC member is to remember that subs don't happen overnight. They require uploading and interacting with the community as well! Take it slow and remember that it just takes time to grow your following. You don't have to be the best creator in the world, but remember that consistency overall is key!
10. What is one cause that you especially believe in? Would you like to say anything about it to the community?
10. I especially believe in the LGBTQIA+ movement, especially since I am queer myself. Remember! Love who you want and be who you are! There ARE people out there who will love and accept you. (Things that are legal of course, things like agefluid are not valid)
11. Do you have a current goal for your content?
11. My goal is to understand how to create more interesting palettes!
12. How would you describe yourself in three words?
12. Daydreaming, supportive, listener
