Introduction
One year ago today, at this exact time, the first chapter of PMC: War on the Nether, the first series related to the then-relatively-new IGEBM lore universe, was published. I still remember the excitement I had when it came out, and I never expected all the praise I got. It made me feel confident in my writing skills, and I've posted countless stories since, least of all things related to my lore. Anyways, this project was originally something I started while the series was being published, so that a collection could come out after it finished, but I went over the character limit and some stuff got deleted after I pasted chapter 6 into the blog to edit and hit the "restore last draft button" to fix things. That drafted blog was left untouched for months until, over the summer, I made a plan to restart the project. I originally resolved to start it after PMC: The Mansion of Shivers finished (in other words, once November started), but as you can see in the "Credits and Resources" section, I started this on the same day that I finished writing day 15 of that series.

In addition to this introduction, blog collects the first 4 long chapters of War on the Nether, now revised and edited to better fit the lore. After the stories is a cast list naming every character and who they're based on in order of appearance, which I originally was just gonna make by pasting the cast lists from each chapter into the blog and removing any names that repeat. I realized that there would be a chance that some people were missed when the lists were originally written, however, and thus decided to write it as I re-read and revised the stories. Author's Notes are also included, written (as you can tell by the name) by me. They describe some of the changes made to the series as well as serving as commentary of sorts. I wrote them as I revised the chapters, so everything is connected to something in the chapters in chronological order. Finally, at the very end of the blog, there's the credits, which say when this part of the project began, when it was completed, when it came out, who did what, as well as links to other things connected to the series, like the collection containing the original blogs.

Alright, now I'm gonna shut up and let you guys start reading what I consider to be the proper version of PMC: War on the Nether.

Chapter I - The War Begins
The day was March 28th, 2023. It was a normal day for the people of Planet Minecraft. In PMC City, IGEBM was taking the week off from the law firm he works at, and hanging out with his friends Peter and Pig at McBlockalds. "Hey, is Ella gonna get here anytime soon?" he asked Pig. "IGE, she's right behind you." his friend responded. IGEBM felt Ella's hands on his shoulders, and jumped out of his seat. "Stop doing that!" he said. "I just love seeing people jump at my presence." Ella responded. "Let's eat." While the four friends digged into their lunch, more important things were happening elsewhere.

In the Nether, King Noncommercial was getting bored of only ruling the Nether Empire. He wanted to expand his rule to other dimensions. He decided to going to meet with the Council of Mods, the group of 25 demigods created by Cyprezz and Paril to govern the planet. The king summoned one of his piglin servants. "You there, send a message to the Council of Mods asking them to meet with me in Cyprezz Tower tonight." he ordered. The piglin nodded and wrote down the message, handing it to a messenger, who in turn hopped on a strider and rode across the lava moat around Castle Hellfire to the PMC City portal (the bridge across the moat was under construction after a ghast attack). He drank a Zombification Resistance potion and goes through the portal, walking from the Portal Hub to Cyprezz Tower. He gave the message to one of the security officers, who took it up to the top floor to give to the Council.

Adrestio, who was in the elevator on the way back from the cafeteria, ran into the officer in the elevator. "Is that message for the Council?" he asked. "Yes, sir." the officer responded. "I'll take it." the councilman responded. The officer handed him the letter and ran out of the elevator before the doors closed to take another one down to the first floor, where his post is. Adrestio took the letter to the council and read it out loud.

Dear Council of Mods,

I wish to meet with you tonight at 7:30 PM OT to discuss something I've been thinking about lately.

Sincerely,
King Noncommcercial of the Nether Empire

"What could this possibly be about?" Head Councilman Silabear wondered. "Well, we'll find out tonight." Adrestio responded as he took a bite out of his sub sandwich.

Several hours later, King Noncommercial, along with four piglin guards, walked through the PMC City portal and entered Cyprezz Tower. Security let them in, showing them to the elevator. When they arrived at the top floor, Smack sat the king down before the Council. "So, what is it you wish to talk to us about?" Silabear asked, sitting in the center chair. Noncommercial began to speak. "Well, since this planet was created, the demigods created by Cyprezz have ruled over the planet." he said. "I think it's time for a change. This planet deserves to be ruled by one of its own!" Silabear and the other moderators started to feel uneasy. "I already rule the Nether, so why not the Overworld too?" the Nether king continued. "It's time for a new era to begin - the era of Noncommercial! If you don't accept this offer, there will be consequences." "We need to talk amongst ourselves." Silabear said. "Smack, get Stubbs on the line too." "Got it." Smack said as he calls retired councilman Stubbs. They answered, and they begin to talk after Silabear filled him in on the situation. "Does Noncommercial realize how power-hungry and greedy he sounds?" Adrestio asked. "There's no way we're giving this guy control over this dimension." "Yeah, who does he think he is?" Stubbs added. "Plus, I've heard rumors that he's been enslaving people in the Nether to gather materials for a project his Science Division is working on." "Slavery?" Smack said in surprise. "Over my dead body!" The Council talked for a few more minutes, with the other members voicing their opinions. They decided to take a vote. Everyone voted against Noncommercial ruling the Overworld.

Silabear sat down, followed by other council members, and spoke. "King Noncommercial of the Nether Empire, we have come to a decision." he began. "We will not grant you full control over the Overworld." "I knew this would happen." Noncommercial said. He turns to a pair of his guards. "Send the message." "That can't be good." Adrestio said. "You will regret this." Noncommercial said. "A dark time for the Overworld is coming." He stormed out with his two guards. "That also can't be good." Adrestio added.

About an hour later, battleships built out of Nether gold, crimson wood, and basalt sailed through the massive portals built across the Overworld. On them were armies of piglin warriors, equipped with golden swords, armor, crossbows, and all the other weapons needed for a mass takeover. Fungus throwers bombed the nearest land they saw with blast fungus, while gunners fired crossbows when the smoke cleared. Instantly, videos of these ships began popping up across the Internet, and eventually, some of those ships sailed into the waters of PMC City. The Council of Mods noticed this and alerted the PMC Military, who issued a call to all soldiers telling them to report to the main military base and prepare for combat. The ships began to make port, and hordes of piglins and hoglins rampaged through the streets. Silabear set up a camera and made an emergency broadcast to all of the big screens in the city.

ATTENTION, ALL CITIZENS OF PMC CITY. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY LOCKDOWN. I REPEAT, THIS IS AN EMERGENCY LOCKDOWN. ALL CITIZENS ARE TO REMAIN IN THE BUILDINGS THEY ARE IN OR GO TO THE NEAREST ONE.

IGEBM and his friends, however, were running through the streets to get to IGE's car. "Why did we have to park so far?!" IGE said as they ran. "I hate when there's no parking spaces near the place you want to park near!" He fired a light blast at a lightly-armored piglin soldier, and the group turned the corner to find their car. "Get in, quick!" Peter said as IGE unlocked it with his keys. The four hopped into the car and drove down the street, away from the charging hoglins. They managed to escape, and drove through the streets just in time to see Noncommercial hijack Silabear's broadcast.

TO THE PEOPLE OF PLANET MINECRAFT, THIS IS A DECLARATION OF WAR. I REPEAT, A DECLARATION OF WAR!

Unlike Silabear's broadcast, which was only across the big screens on PMC, this one appeared across the planet, on the radio, all televisions, and any large screens in other cities and towns. Even Si, who was on a 9-day cruise from PMC to Chola Island and back, saw it. "What the heck is going on?" he wondered.

Back at the Tower, the Council of Mods was panicking. "This is a full-on hostile takeover, for Cyprezz's sake!" Adrestio said. "We're not prepared for this!" "Yes, we are." Stubbs reminded him. "The last uprising was 10 years ago, and the small rebellion literally used stone-tipped spears as weapons!" Adrestio reminded him. "Maybe we are a bit rusty." Silabear said. "But now, we have the full force of the Overworld to battle them." "If they want to help us." Smack reminded him. "You're right." Silabear responded. "For all we know, they may not even want to fight. At least each nation's armies hopefully will. After all, we can only hope."

Chapter II - The Soda Strike Team
IGEBM and his friends Peter, Pig, and Ella drove up to the PMC City Military Base on the edge of town, near the Paril Woods. They each pulled out their ID cards and showed them the officers at the gate, who let them in. They got out of the car and headed to the lockers, passing by all the other soldiers who had received the call. IGE and his friends hadn't been in a battle since the PMC Soda Wars in December, when they fought for the CocaCola Army (well, Peter fought against them and then joined them for the civil war), and it had been even longer since they had fought for the PMC Military, which was about a year, in a battle on the outer End islands to free it from the control of a demon king.

The group headed to the locker rooms, where they changed into their uniforms. In the men's locker room, Peter asked the group how they're feeling about the current situation. "I think we'll win." Pig said. "For one, we have a technological advantage, and for another, it's one empire against an entire dimension, largely comprised of experienced fighters." "Don't get too overconfident." IGE warned. "That's how you lose." They finished putting on their uniforms and walked out to wait for Ella. She came out a few minutes later and the four of them headed to the briefing room. They listened to General Axo Playz explain the whole Nether war situation, and then he sent each squadron off to get their assignments. He had the four friends stay behind. "Strike Unit 721-" he began before IGE interrupted him. "We prefer being called the Soda Strike Team." he corrected. "I will refer to you by your designated unit number, Captain." the General continued. "As I was saying, you four are being sent on a mission to the Forge. We recently received a call from them. Zoglins are rampaging throughout their village, and you seem like the best fit to stop them, especially considering you four are friends of Forgemaster Chaos Crypteral and his associates. You will find your transport craft in perfect condition in the harbor. You are dismissed. Notify me when you stop the zoglins."

The Soda Strike Team headed to the deployment bay, where they found their transport craft, a Waverider-832 customized with the colors of CocaCola, in perfect condition after it was heavily damaged on the way to the stronghold during the Ender Wars. They got onboard. Peter checked the fridge, which was fully stocked with food and drinks. Pig checked the weapons compartment in the floor of the hull. Inside were four laser rifles, bandoliers loaded with small bombs and ammo packs, grenades and electro-machetes for their utility belts, and, last but not least, bracers that transform into arm-mounted plasma blasters. "We're good to go with weapons." Pig said. "IGE, time to go?" "Yep." IGE said. He turned to Ella. "Let's go!" Ella steered the ship out of the harbor, set course for the Forge, and then put it on autopilot. On the way there, they passed by a small craft with two piglin gunners inside. They began to charge their crossbows, but IGE threw a grenade onto their ship. Ella sped up the boat to get away from the explosion, and Peter spotted a piglin arm floating in the water, slowly sinking, with the crossbow it was once holding sinking faster.

They eventually arrived at the Forge, after a 20-minute journey that almost used up the boat's fuel. (Luckily, they had more.) Tem, one of the Apprentices, was there to greet them. "You guys are here!" he said. "We've been fighting zoglins and piglins for the last 40 minutes! It's a miracle any of us have survived, but I guess our weapons hold up. Chaos, Shadow, and Trot are in the village square, battling the horde." "Are they doing good?" Ella asked. "Well, Chaos is slashing the sides of zoglins with a gilded netherite sword, Shadow is warping around and throwing silver throwing knives at piglins, and Trot is lobbing fireballs in copper armor from the roof of a house." Tem explained as he took them to the square, while also fending off zoglins with his silver sword.

When they got to the square, Forgemaster Chaos Crypteral noticed them. "Hey, guys, it's IGE, Pig, Ella, and Peter!" he said before getting out of the way of a charging zoglin. Pig rushed over to help him. "What are the others doing?" he asked the Forgemaster. "Well, we don't have as many Apprentices as we did earlier to to help us out." the Forgemaster responded as he battled a piglin. "Cloud and Potato are at the other port trying to take out the crew of the ship, Whisper is with Rakkitatoru trying to evacuate the town, and Tem was helping us out before he went to the docks to greet you guys. Luckily, we have another Apprentice here: IGE. Do you have a plan, because up until now we've just been attacking them." "Well, I think we need to split up." IGE said as he shot a piglin with his laser rifle. "Ella, go help Whisper and Rakkitatoru. Pig, head to the piglin ship and give Cloud and Potato a hand with sinking it. Me and Peter will stay here and help Chaos, Shadow, and Trot." "Copy that." Ella said. She rushed off while Pig headed to the other port.

IGE and Peter started firing at the piglins and zoglins. "These guys take a few shots to go down!" Peter said as he killed a zoglin with the third laser blast. "I can see." IGE said. He warped behind a piglin and ran him through with his electro-machete. His injured body twitched on the ground after the electricity zapped him. "Trot, how are you doing?" IGE screamed to the arsonist leaping across the rooftops. "Good!" she shouted back. "They pardoned me, thanks to your convincing argument against the court! Now I won't be spending the next 10 years of my life rotting in a prison cell!" She threw a fireball at a zoglin. "You know those fireballs don't kill them, Trot?" Chaos shouted as he blocks an arrow fired by a piglin. "Yeah, but it stings them, and then they lose their balance!" Trot yelled back.

Meanwhile, at the edge of town, where the emergency safe cave is located on a hill, Ella, Whisper, and Rakkitatoru were evacuating the citizens. Rakkitatoru was using her mage powers to block the zoglins with a shield. She briefly stopped to cast a Magic Missile spell and fired one at a group of approaching piglin soldiers. It killed them. However, as Ella was leading citizens to the safety cave, she noticed a ghast flying overhead. "Guys, ghast!" she screamed as she drawed her rifle. The shield didn't cover them from above, so if the beast fired a fireball at them, they'd have a lot of injuries on their hands. Whisper leapt off a cliff and flew into the air. 'I've got this!" she said as she jumped. She flew upwards to the where the ghast was, then drawed her bow and fired a copper arrow, charged with electricity from Rakkitatoru's magic, at the ghast. As she flew back down, she watched the electricity zap the ghast, killing it. Ella rushed down the hill to move the citizens out of the way, and then cut open the ghast's corpse after it landed to pull out the ghast tear and pocket it.

Meanwhile, on the piglin transport craft, Cloud and Potato were being cornered by piglin soldiers, all wielding golden swords, but then one of them dropped dead from a bullet in the head. "Pig!" Cloud cheered. "You came to help us!" "We sure could use it." Potato said. "Always glad to help a friend or two." Pig replied to the two of them. As they fought the piglins with their swords (Cloud was using a pair of silver katanas while Potato was wielding a netherite claymore), Pig zapped several others with his electro-machete. He then turned off the electric part of the machete and dove into the water, where he cut a few holes in the bottom of the boat. Cloud noticed a piglin officer run up from the lower deck. "Captain, the ship is sinking!" he said. "Holes have been cut in the bottom of the boat! I was nap- er, reading, when I felt water on my fe-" He was stabbed in the back by Pig, who snuck up on him after climbing through a rather large hole he cut in the bottom of the ship. The captain of the ship drawed his dual golden swords, and began to fight Pig. The two of them battled as the ship sank slowly into the waters of the Forge's harbor. Cloud and Potato finished off the other piglins, and notice Pig was lying on his back, his machete having been knocked out his hand and landing out of his reach. The captain was about to run him through with one of his swords, but he was hit in the head by an iron nugget shot from Potato's slingshot! It distracted him long enough for Pig to draw his rifle and fire a couple of shots through the captain's chest. He dropped dead, and Pig, Cloud, and Potato, rushed off the ship and climbed up the cliff, as the boat was nearly underwater.

In the village square, there were still more hoglins and piglins running wild. Pig and his group had just arrived to help IGE, Peter, Chaos, Shadow, Trot, and Tem, and Ella, Whisper, and Rakkitatoru have evacuated the town and were now making their way to the square. Once everyone met up and took cover in a nearby home, they began to formulate a plan. Shadow put a map of the Forge on the table and marked it up. "This is where we are." she said as she drew a dot over the house in red. She drew a pink line showing the directions the zoglins were charging in and a blue dot showing where the safe cave was. "The pink lines are the zoglin's charging courses, which I drew based on where I observed them to be going, and the blue dot is the safe cave where our citizens are hiding. Anything else?" "We saw a ghast and killed it, but that was the only one." Ella added. "I extracted its tear." She pulled the ghast tear out of her pocket. "Ghast tear, that's it!" Shadow said. "Me and Chaos have blaze powder, ender pearls, and some more of them in our house. We can make an End crystal pit to lure the zoglins into with something, and then blow them up." "Great idea." Trot said. "Of course it's good." Chaos said. "If it's one of Shadow's ideas, it's bound to be amazing." "Aww, thanks Chaos." Shadow replied. Before they can kiss, IGE interrupted them. "Ahem, the plan." he said. "You two lovebirds can flirt with each other later."

They snuck through the streets to the Forgemaster's house. Inside, Shadow gathered the materials for the End crystals, and they made 9 of them. Ella found some obsidian in another chest, and then IGE received a call on his phone. He looked at the screen. It was Si. "Si, what is it?" he asked after answering. "IGE, piglins have attacked the cruise ship I'm on!" Si screamed into the phone. "I'm on my way." IGE replied before hanging up and turning to the group. "Okay, so, we have a problem: the cruise Si's on is being attacked by the Empire. So, here's my proposal: me, Shadow, and Whisper, the three teleporters, warp onto the ship and begin warping groups of people on the ship to the Cholan Empire, which is their destination. We take Peter and Tem with us, that way they can fend off the piglins while we do our evacuation. Meanwhile, the rest of you guys deal with the zoglins." "Sounds like a plan to me." Pig said. "Let's do this."

On the cruise ship, IGEBM, Shadow, Whisper, Chaos, and Tem warped in behind Si. "Si, behind you." IGE says. "You came!" he cheered. "And you brought back-up! You're gonna need it." He gestured to piglin battleship on starboard side of the cruise ship, with piglins climbing up ladders to get onto the top dock. Passengers were running around the deck, and there was even more chaos down below. They got to work. Whisper warped into the captain's cabin while Chaos and Tem began to battle the piglins, along with Si, who joined the fight with his dagger. Whisper spoke into the intercom.

ATTENTION, ALL PASSENGERS! DUE TO RECENT EVENTS, ME AND MY ASSOCIATES WILL BE TELEPORTING GROUPS OF YOU TO CHOLA ISLAN!! IF YOU SEE SHADOW OR IGE WARP IN NEAR YOU, RUN TOWARDS TO THEM AND GRAB ONTO THEM! WHISPER OUT!

Meanwhile, back at the Forge, Ella, Pig, Cloudkitty, Potato, and Rakkitatoru emered from the deep pit they just dug to put the end crystals in, which they dug on the edge of town, near the safe cave, but far enough away from both locations that nothing would be damaged. Chaos climbed down to set up the crystals, and then climbed out of the pit. "The question is, how do we get these zoglins into the pit?" Trot asked. "Well, we could drive them towards it with warped fungi." Rakkitatoru suggested. "I always carry some on me for brews." She pulled some warped fungus out of her satchel, handing one to each of the people there. They went around town and began to sneak up on the groups of zoglins and scare them with the fungus. The groups start charging towards the pit. Once all the zoglins had managed to fall into the pit, Trot threw a fireball at one of the end crystals from afar, and the group watched as it blew up. Several zoglin part got blown out of the pit and landed on the ground around it. "Well, let's clean this up." Cloud said. "Don't worry, due to the nature of business, I have to be able to know how hide evidence of murder."

Meanwhile, IGEBM's team had gotten all of the passengers off of the cruise ship, which was now sinking from several holes blown in the bottom by piglin demolitionists armed with blast fungus and other explosives. However, IGE returned the favor by diving into the water and firing a couple of light beams at the underside of the piglin ship. He then warped back to the top deck, where he spotted the captain of ship, who noticed him diving into the water. He gave IGE a threatening stare his singular eye and headed to the escape boat. IGE turned to Si. "I'll warp you out of here." he said as he took Si's hand and warped to Chola Island. Shadow and Whisper (along with Peter and Tem) warped back to the Forge. On Chola Island, IGEBM and Si explained to King Elightin Elytra why him and his friends suddenly teleported a bunch of people onto the island. "I understand." Elightin said. "They can stay at the Emmin Hotel." "Thanks." Si said. "Peace out." IGE said to Si and Elightin as he warped back to the Forge.

At the Forge, the Soda Strike Team said their goodbyes to Chaos, Shadow, Trot, and the Apprentices. "Stop by again soon!" Chaos said. "As long as you promise to help PMC City in the war." IGE told him. "Promise." Chaos said. IGE, Peter, Pig, and Ella boarded their ship, and Ella steered them out of the harbor. Pig contacted General Playz to let him know that the mission was a success and that they were ready for their next mission. "Well, tell Private Ella to set a course for Morbid Island." Axo responded on the comms. "Morbid Island?" Peter asked. "What happened there?" "Fear Priest Firestar contacted me and told me piglins had landed on the shore." Axo answered. "Peter, you better be ready to help your citizens." "I am." Peter said. "Axo out." the general said. He hung up. "To Morbid Island!" Ella said as she charted the course.

Chapter III - Mission to Morbid Island
In the Nether, a piglin soldier entered the throne room of Castle Hellfire. "I have good news and bad news." he said to King Noncommercial. "The bad news is that Operation: Zoglin Forge was a failure. The good news is that Operation: Morbid Island is currently in progress. Your troops are battling the people of Morbid Island, and the Crimson Butchers are en route to the island after meeting up with their leader at the portal near Chola Island." "Excellent." the king said. "Now, I must go. I have to meet with Dr. Goldeye." He got up and walks out of the room. He met up with Dr. Goldeye in the laboratory tower of the castle. "I have something to show you." the one-eyed mad scientist said with glee. "Is it the new eye?" Noncommcerical pointed to the doctor's left eye, which is actually a golden eye meant to replace the one he lost in an explosion caused by an experiment. It can't actually see, but it looks good. "No." he said. "But thank you for noticing." He led Noncommercial to his balcony, where a transport ghast was waiting for them. The two hopped onto the massive beast and Dr. Goldeye untied it from the the railing of the balcony. He piloted the ghast to the slave camp, where they landed. The two got off. "As you can see, we've begun construction of Project: Nether King." Dr. Goldeye said as he led his king through the construction portion of the slave camp. "The slaves are surprisingly skilled builders, especially when under the threat of execution." He led Noncommercial to the R&D lab, and showed him a map of the End on the table. "We've also found a possible power source for the project in the End. We think you should send in the Crimson Butchers to secure the portal once they finish up on Morbid Island." "I agree." King Noncommercial said. "Now, let us return to the castle."

In the Overworld, the Soda Strike Team are a few miles away from Morbid Island. It had been about 5 hours since they made their departure from the Forge, and they would've been there sooner had it not been raining for the last few hours. "Are we there yet?" Pig asked. "Almost." Ella said, checking the map on the screen in the captain's cabin. "IGE, how's the fishing?" Peter asked. "Good." IGE responded. "I've been catching a lot of fish. We could cook some once we finish up on Morbid Island. You excited to be back there?" "Yeah." Peter asked. "Guts is staying there for a few days, and Firestar's been in charge while I was gone." He checked the clock on the wall. "It's 9:32. I'm gonna rest for a bit." "Me too." Pig said. He followed Peter to the bunks, and the two went to sleep. IGE joined them, and Ella stayed up to keep watch.

About 30 minutes later, they arrived at Morbid Island. Ella steered them into the harbor as the others woke up. Peter is the first to notice the piglins standing guard at the port. They were asleep, but he didn't want to wake them up. "Guys, stay quiet." he warned the group. They drew their rifles and crawled across the pier and into the bushes. In the distance, they heard swords clashing and rifle shots being fired. "It's coming from the town." Ella whispered. "Let's join them."

The Soda Strike Team snuck into the town, where they spotted several piglins overwhelming Fear Priest Aspirin. IGE fired his rifle at one of the piglins, and shot the other three with light blasts. "What do you know, it's the Soda Strike Team!" Aspirin cheered. "Thanks for the save, IGE." "Always happy to help a fellow Fear Priest." IGE responded. "DarkRob could use some help too." Aspirin said as he pointed to Fear Priest DarkRob, who was currently being cornered against the wall of a house by several piglin soldiers. "Peter, care to help him?" IGE suggested. "On it!" Peter responds. He ran over to DarkRob and pulled out his electro-machete, turning it on and waving it across the necks of the soldiers, cutting off their heads all in a row. Their bodies fell to the ground. "Thanks, comrade." DarkRob said. "Where's Guts?" Peter asked. "He's in a cave." Ghostly said, appearing behind the Aspect of Horror after exiting ghost form. "He's not fighting." "Understood." Peter said. They spotted Aspirin using his horror toad powers to raise two different kinds of undead warriors: skeleton soldiers and zombie toads. The skeleton soldiers fired their AK-47s at the piglins, who responded by shooting their crossbows. Meanwhile, the toads leapt towards the preoccupied piglin gunners, infecting them with a zombification disease. The zombified piglin soldiers turned to the normal piglins and started to fight them as the skeletons dropped dead on the ground, after being shot several times by arrows.

The battle continued for the next few minutes with both sides being an equal match against each other. However, the Cryptic Family Military was slowly winning because of their advantage of having necromancers on their side. They were able to reanimate the corpses of the piglins and turn them against the Nether Empire soldiers. Unfortunately for the Cryptic Family, the Crimson Butchers had just arrived. They were the best soldiers in the Nether Army, led by Sgt. Porkus, who had never lost a battle, in the Nether or in the Overworld.

"Oh shoot." Ghostly said as he saw Porkus and the Butchers walk into the town. "Alright, you weak little piglins, we've got this!" Porkus shouted in an angry voice. "What is it?" Peter asked Ghostly. "That's Sgt. Porkus and the Crimson Butchers." the half-spirit Fear Priest responded. "They're the strongest soldiers in the Nether Army. Sgt. Porkus, their leader, has never lost a battle, in any dimension." Peter, Ghostly, and DarkRob hid behind some crates as one of the Butchers, Private Hoghead, walked by. On his back were a pair of massive golden axes. "We're doomed." DarkRob said. "But I have an idea." He used his portal-making abilities to open a portal below him. Another one opened above Hoghead, and he dropped onto the powerful piglin warrior. "Nice try." Hoghead grunted before throwing DarkRob into a wall. The Fear Priest fell onto the ground, and was hand-cuffed by Hoghead. The cuffs inhibited his portal abilities, but Ghostly phased through a wall and appeared behind Ella and Pig, who were hiding in a bush. He told them about the Butchers, and spotted Aspirin doing the same to IGEBM behind a house.

Ghostly signaled to Aspirin and IGE for them to meet up further away. "Wait." Pig said. "I'll stay behind to help Peter. We'll probably get captured, but he needs some backup." The PMC Military soldier took a pair of grenades off of his bandolier, pulled their pins, and then threw them out of the bushes, using the explosion as cover and a distraction to run to Peer. He made it without being seen, and told Peter they're going to fight the Crimson Butchers. "Got it." Peter said. He drew his rifle and fired a few shots as he ran out from the behind the crates between houses. Pig did the same. "Fools." Sgt. Porkus said. He pulled out his weapon, a massive golden mace with netherite spikes, and swung it at the two soldiers. That's the last IGE and his group saw before he teleported them to Mt. Aranaktu.

On Mt. Aranaktu, a now-dormant volcano, Ghostly and Aspirin led IGE and Ella to a cave where them, DarkRob, and Firestar used to go to to hang out when the Cryptic Family was just starting out. When the volcano erupted, they stopped returning to it. "Speaking of which, where is Firestar?" IGE asked. "He wasn't at the battle." "The reason we took you guys here was because he's hiding out here." Aspirin answered. "Firestar left the battle a few minutes before you all arrived and came up here to try and convince Guts to join the fight." "Hey guys!" Firestar said. Deeper in the cave, they saw him waving at them. "Me and Guts are deeper in the cave, in another cavern closer to the center of the volcano." He lit the way with fire from his hand.

Firestar led the group to a cave deeper in the volcano, where they found Guts. "Guts!" IGE said at the sight of the former Aspect of Horror. "Where have you been? Once you left Morbid Island, you disappeared." "Well, I was worried PMC City wouldn't accept me, so I lived in the Ancient City under the city." Guts explained. "Once I left the island, I met up with Captain Clay, who smuggled me into the city. His crew kept me hidden and led me to the sewers, where I was able to find a tunnel to the Ancient City." "Ah." IGE commented. "So, Guts, the thing we're all wondering is: will you fight with us?" Aspirin asked. "It pains me to say this, but no." Guts responded. "NO?!" Ghostly said in anger. "Right now, the Crimson Butchers are beating up our military! They're beating up your friends, Peter and Pig! You're just gonna let that happen?!" "I've taken an oath not fight!" Guts retorted. "I don't care if there's a war, I'm not fighting! I've done some horrible things in my past, and this is my way of atoning for my sins! Now, get the Hell out of here!"

Knowing they can't convince Guts to help them, the group left and went down the trail to return to the village and attempt to fight the piglins. "Oh, look, the others are back!" Peter cheered. He was chained to a wall, imprisoned between DarkRob and Pig, who were also chained. "Any luck?" "He's taken an oath not fight." Ghostly responded. He then dodged a crossbow shot from a piglin soldier. Fungar, the Crimson Butchers' resident fungus thrower, threw some blast fungus at the group, but IGE blasted the explosive mushrooms before they could hit the ground with his light blasts, causing them to explode in midair. Ella threw several grenades, Ghostly entered ghost form to sneak up on Hoghead, Aspirin summoned a horde of skeleton soldiers, and IGE created a pair of light swords with his magic powers. The group tried to fight off the Crimson Butchers, but ultimately ended up chained up like Peter, Pig, DarkRob, and the rest of the Cryptic Family Military.

Guts, meanwhile, had decided to exit the cave and take a look at the situation from afar using his spyglass. "I knew it would come down to this." he said to himself. "I don't want to do this, but I have to. Ghostly's right. Those people down there are my friends, and they deserve to be saved." He walked back into the cave and picks up the Cryptic Morbid. "Time for the Creator to summon some old friends." He began to quickly read through the stories he's written, and slowly, monsters started to appear around him.

Chapter IV - The Cryptic Rebellion
In the village, the prisoners talked quietly amongst themselves as they watched the Crimson Butchers and the rest of the Nether Army scramble around, setting up security teams across the island to ensure no one disturbed the coming events. IGEBM saw Private Hoghead grab the chained up Peter and drag him up to a stage Sgt. Porkus and the other piglins had set up. He saw Private Fungar and Private Hellsnout dragging up Lord of Terror Firestar and the other Fear Priests, and then he turned and saw Private Chainhoof grab him and drag him up to the stage with the rest of the Cryptic Family government. "Ella, do you know what's going on?" Pig whispered to his teammate. "Not at all." Ella whispered back. "You two, shut up!" a piglin guard snapped.

Meanwhile, within Mt. Aranaktu, Guts had just finished reading the entire Cryptic Morbid, right before his only swiftness potion wore off. (He had taken a potion of swiftness to speed up his reading in case something bad was about to happen to his friends.) Around him was a crowd of monsters he had created over the last few years. "I've never been able to rid myself of this god-forsaken book." Guts said to himself before putting it down and turning to the crowd of monsters. "You are all my creations. Thus, you will aid me in rescuing my friends and liberating this island from the scourge that is the Nether Army." The monsters nodded. "Remain here for a moment." the former Aspect of Horror continued. He opened a chest next to him and pulled out a pickaxe, which he used the mine a hole in the wall behind him. Inside was an armor stand, which was holding his old set of Dark Angel armor, a hellish creation forged by Forgemaster Chaos for him, complete with wings granting it flight, a series of unholy enchantments put on it by a now-deceased dark mage, and an accompanying scythe and bow, which also have unholy enchantments on them. Guts put on the armor, put his sword and bow on his back, and also grabbed a necrotic arrow for the bow (which has Infinity). Then, he led the monsters to cave entrance, sending them down the hill while he flied down from the cliff.

Back in the village, Porkus revealed his plan for the Cryptic Family government. "My fellow piglins, I stand before you today so you, alongside the people of the Cryptic Family, can witness the execution of their government." the sergeant explained. Each of the Butchers stood behind a member of the government, who were each standing in chains: Private Hoghead readied his golden sword to stab Aspirin, Private Acidus got ready to melt DarkRob with a vial of acid, Private Fungar prepared to blow up Ghostly with some blast fungus, Private Chainclove oiled his mechanized sawblade before he cut up IGEBM with it, Private Hellsnout lit up his flamethrower in preparation to burn Firestar, and Sgt. Porkus was swinging his mace around before he crushed Peter with it. However, as Porkus was talking about his plans for Morbid Island, he was too busy running his mouth to notice what the soon-to-be-executed saw: Guts, clad in the Dark Angel armor, flying down and landing before the stage.

As he landed, Porkus notices the former Aspect of Horror in his menacing armor, standing alone before an army of piglins and chained-up members of the Cryptic Family. "Who are you and why are you here?" Porkus said as he stepped off of the stage and moves towards Guts. "My name is Guts N. Pixels, former Aspect of Horror of the Cryptic Family, and thus former leader of the Cryptic Family and Morbid Island." Guts responded. "I have come to rid this peaceful land of you and your troops." "Oh yeah?" Porkus asked snobbishly, thinking he could take Guts alone. "You and what army?" He gestured to the Butchers to execute the government anyways. "This army." Guts responded, firing a single necrotic arrow in the air. All the monsters from the Cryptic Morbid charged out from the woods, swarming the soldiers, who weren't ready for the army.

On the stage, the Butchers started to move their weapons to execute the Cryptic Family government, but before they could, IGE finished picking the lock on his chains. He shot his leg cuffs with a small light blast and sweep kicked Chainclove, making him drop his sawblade, which IGE grabbed. He also took the spinblade, before shooting each of the Crimson Butchers, distracting them from executing his friends, which gave him enough time to free them with light blasts. Free from the power-inhibiting cuffs, the other Fear Priests used their powers to fight the Butchers. DarkRob created a portal under Acidus' feet, and then another portal opened high in the sky, sending Acidus falling headfirst from 10000 feet in the air. He landed and died from the impact. Ghostly entered ghost form and Fungar's explosives went right through him, before he waleed through the Butcher and returned to normal form, kicking him off of the stage. Aspirin raised more skeletons soldiers and zombie toads, which began to swarm Hoghead. Aspirin also summoned undead, gas masked soldiers, who ran and freed the people that were chained up. Firestar's hands lit up as he burned the armor of Hellsnout, who responded by firing his flamethrower, but, with his fire-resistant powers now active again, Firestar simply walked through the beam of flame and punched the pyromaniac.

Meanwhile, Peter and IGE have reunited with Ella and Pig, and the four of them drew their weapons - with IGE using the weapons he stole from Chainclove instead of his normal laser rifle and electro-machete - and prepared to help Guts battle Porkus. However, Chainclove ran up behind IGE and wrapped his arm around his neck, preparing to choke him. Luckily, IGE could now enter light form, which he did, and then fell right through Chainclove, before returning to normal form and cutting off the Butcher's head with his own mechanized sawblade. With two Crimson Butchers dead, there were now only four remaining, plus their leader, who were all sustaining injuries from the Fear Priests and the Lord of Terror. The Cryptic Family Military was battling the Nether Army with the aid of Guts' monsters. As the Soda Strike Team fought piglins trying to get to Porkus, Ella saw the Shambler - tall enough to stand out in the crowd of soldiers fighting - rip a piglin in two, and then throw their remains at another piglin.

Guts and Porkus battled each other, with Guts being aided by a few cultic miners, but even the former Aspect of Horror was having trouble fighting a massive piglin brute. He got a chance to rest for a moment when Porkus was hit in the back by IGE's new spinblade. He turned around to see the Soda Strike Team, combat-ready and standing in front of a field of dead piglins. "Soda Strike Team, attack!" IGE ordered, raising his sawblade in the air. While the Soda Strike Team attacked from the front, drawing the attention of Porkus and his huge mace, Guts fired at him with necrotic arrows from the back. The arrows would, on a normal basis, instantly kill anything they hit, but Porkus saw the arrow on Guts' back and drank a potion of necrotic protection, brewed for him by the best clerics in the Nether Empire in the event Guts was on the island during the takeover, and now the arrows only give him very sharp pains whenever he's hit. Meanwhile, the Fear Priests and Firestar have successfully knocked out the remaining three Crimson Butchers and were now helping the Cryptic Family and the monsters of the Cryptic Morbid battle the Nether Army.

After several more minutes of fighting Porkus, he had managed to overpower the Strike Team and kill the cultic miners and several Hell axolotls. Guts was also wounded, with his durable Dark Angel armor having several cracks in it. However, he wasn't willing to see Porkus kill his friends. Fueled by his love for his friends, and his anger at Porkus for trying to take over his island, Guts started to transform. He became a shadowy figure, including his armor, and rose into the sky. The armor's outline started to disappear, as the shadowy figure statted to return to a normal shape, but this time, it was Guts in his Creator form - a form he hadn't transformed into since he left the Cryptic Family. The Creator, with the strength of all of his creations, charged down at Porkus from the sky, before beating the living crap out of him. He ripped off the end of his mace, threw some punches, and then swung the large piglin brute around and around. This battle gave the Strike Team enough time to regain their strength, get up, and join the fight just as Guts threw Porkus into a tree. IGE threw his spinblade, Pig and Ella tossed some grenades, and Peter fired a few laser blasts. Porkus, beaten and scarred, cried out, "ABORT MISSION!!!" He weakly got up and slowly ran to the ship.

Guts returned to his normal form. "I'll let him live." he said. "I may be cruel, but I'm not evil." The Strike Team lauged as several piglin medics from the Butchers' ship carried the other three Crimson Butchers to the ship, along with several wounded piglins. Those that survived the battle against the Cryptic Family and Guts' monsters and were still able to walk made their way back to the ship, while the Cryptic Family piled up the bodies in the center of town. It was nighttime, and the Cryptic Family had a big ceremony to celebrate their victory, during which Firestar burned the pile of dead piglins. They had a big pork feast, which the Strike Team and Fear Priests found funny, and the night ended with Guts, Firestar, and the other Fear Priests saying goodbye to the Soda Strike Team before they left. "We're gonna keep on fighting in this war." Firestar promised. "And I'll help." Guts said. "I've done some thinking, and I realize that there are more important things in life than atoning for sins I should've forgiven myself for a long time ago." Peter hugged his mentor. "We'll be back." he said, turning to the Fear Priests. "I promise." "Same here." IGE said. He hugged the Fear Priests. "And Aspirin, be sure to take care of Spike." "That dog has been driving me nuts for a month now, but okay, IGE." Aspirin responded. "See you guys soon." Ghostly said. "Bye!" DarkRob said as he waved to the Strike Team, who were now on their boat sailing away.

"This has been a crazy couple of days." Pig said. "Yeah." Ella responded. "First we fight hoglins at the Forge, then we help liberate Morbid Island from the Nether Empire's control. What's next?" "I know what's next." IGE said. "What is it?" Peter asked. "Well, I told General Playz that we had completed the mission, and he told us he wants us to convince Lord Piaccu to allow the Ender Army to help us in the war, since he's, well, you know, a pacifist." "So we're going to the End?" Pig asked. 'I guess." IGE said. "Well, I'm gonna chart a course for the mainland, then." Peter said. "We're going home!' Ella cheered.

Author's Notes
Chapter 1
- In accordance with the official timeline, the series is now set at the end of March instead of February, like the original text said it was.
- To avoid confusion with TheCrypteral, who also goes by Chaos, OrderOutOfChaos' character in the series goes by his real name, Peter.
- For those wondering how I was able to tag Peter even though his account was locked, I copied it from the "The War Begins" blog and pasted it into this one.
- In the original text, Pig called me "Bm," an old nickname he had for me, since that was before most people called me "IGE" or "IG."
- The tense has been changed to all be in the past tense, as opposed to switching from present to past (an error on my part).
- There are three time zones in my lore: Overworld Time (OT), Nether Time (NT), and Void Time (VT), and they each correspond to one of the three dimensions. OT is the same as ET, which is the time zone I go by.
- The beginning of Avantasia's "The Wicked Symphony" goes perfectly with the part of chapter 1 where the Nether Empire ships are coming through the portals.
- In the original version of chapter 1 (and chapter 2), Chola Island was referred to as "the Cholan Empire," as I didn't know what to call the island the nation was built on at the time.

Chapter 2
- Si corrected me on the fact that he doesn't say "Hell," so I changed it.
- If anyone wants to know where I got General Axo's last name, his username at the time that the series originally came out was "AxolotlArmyPlayz."
- Truth be told, I only just remembered the Ender Wars existed while revising chapter 2, and now I kinda want to write something about what they were.
- I'm sure everyone reading this remembers when the Forge Council were known as Apprentices.
- The only sad thing about changing OrderOutOfChaos' character's name to Peter is that I have to remove all the "other Chaos" jokes and mentions.
- Oh yeah, cloudkitty's character now goes by "Cloud" instead of it being a short version of "Cloudkitty" like in the original series.
- Ah yes, re-reading and revising chapter 2 definitely didn't remind me of all those times Chaos and Shadow would randomly start flirting back and forth with each other (and it's worse than the self-proclaimed flirty girl, GracieMockingjay).
- Since I never wrote who said "Well, let's clean this up" towards the end of the story, I decided to have Cloud say it, and then added a mention of him knowing how to erase murder evidence due to the nature of his business. This is a little reference to a) PMC Among Us, which Cloud hosts, and b) the overall shadiness of her persona.
- I don't believe I ever clarified this after the publication of chapter 2, but the captain of the battleship that attacked Si's cruise ship was Sgt. Porkus, who would appear in the next chapter as a supporting antagonist up to his demise in chapter 6. (It's never explicitly said in this collection either, but at the beginning of chapter 3, a piglin soldier tells Noncommercial that the Crimson Butchers met up with "their leader" near the Chola Island Nether portal, which both makes it obvious and doesn't make it obvious).

Chapter 3
- I'm pretty sure I named the Crimson Butchers after Snaptrap, a Seacon from Transformers lore who had the nickname "Butcher of the Bogs," which he got from massacring an Autobot regiment in the Toxic Sludge Swamps.
- IGE having good luck while fishing in the rain is funny little nod to the way the mechanic works in Minecraft, where the wait time for fish is lowered by 20% in rainy weather.
- Naturally, DarkRob called Peter "comrade."
- As you can guess, zombified piglins attacking regular ones is another nod to Miencraft.
- This is pretty obvious, but each of the Fear Priests has a power: Aspirin is a necromancer, DarkRob can make portals, Ghostly has a ghost form, and IGE has light powers. Firestar can also manipulate fire, as he was a Fear Priest before becoming the Lord of Terror, but hilariously, Peter, the leader of the Cryptic Family, is powerless.
- Mt. Aranaktu is a reference to a meme posted by Guts N Pixels, which I found hilarious (and I bet others did too). Sadly, I'm too lazy to scroll all the way back to the post so I can link it here.
- Guts being worried about PMC City not accepting him and his oath of pacifism for "horrible things" in his past is part of his backstory, which I still want to explain in better detail.
- The Cryptic Morbid is a fictional book in Guts N Pixels' lore, which contains countless stories of monsters (said monsters are also known as the skins he posts, which have the stories in their descriptions) that come to life if you read the stories. The stories are told by the eerie Tale Teller, a character in Guts' lore, and the Creator is the writer of the book (also, slightly related, Guts' original username when he came up with the lore was "CrypticMorbid").

Chapter 4
- Time for some unnecessary IGEBM lore info that can only be in here because the thing I'm talking about was in the story: in PMC sporting events, potions that grant effects such as enhanced speed and strength are considered performance-enhancing drugs and are thus banned from said events.
- The Dark Angel armor is based on an armor model I was working on on my alt account (DarkGEBM666) for the Forge group, but that I couldn't continue because I had forgotten to save the file.
- My mentality when coming up with Acidus' name was "make it similar to Acidicus from Ninjago, but not the same" (and to this day, I picture the Serpentine tribe leader and not a piglin when I read or think it).
- Yep, I snuck in a "you and what army?" line. I've done it before and I did it again.
- The Shambler is my favorite of Guts' creations, so of course it was in the story.
- I noticed that the clerics gave Porkus a necrotic protection potion in case Guts was on the island, which would possibly be at odds with Porkus not knowing who Guts was, but I offer this explanation: they never told him what he looked liked.
- Unrelated, but I'm listening to "Runaway Train" by Avantasia for the fifth time in a row as I work on chapter 4, and I've noticed that so far, the two main songs I've listened to while working on this are from The Wicked Symphony.
- The shadowy form Guts assumed during his transformation at the end of chapter 4 looks similar to the Tale Teller, for those wondering.
- Hmmm, I wonder what prompted the first transformation...
- If this series were to be animated or made into a video game, Guts swinging around Porkus would be exactly like swinging Bowser around in Super Mario 64.
- The pork feast was promised to Firestar in the comments of the chapter 3 blog. (He's also worryingly excited about burning someone.)
- Spike is named in homage to the Tom and Jerry character.
