Hi, everyone. I hope you're all having a good day.

Three weeks ago, a student at a local high school (in the same district as the one I go to) committed suicide. Two weeks later, two students at my school committed suicide as well. One of them was a freshman.

I'm not trying to give a speech or gain attention. I know this topic isn't a good one, but this is a serious matter. Suicide is not a joke, nor the answer to your problems. It's painful to think about, and it just spreads the pain to your loved ones. A while before I became a chat moderator, I made a wall post similar to this, regarding a high school senior who committed suicide.

Let me just say this once: you are loved. You matter. Better days will come. Some days aren't as good as others, but try to make the best out of each day. Reach out to your friends at school, work, wherever you are. Tell them that they're good people who can make a difference.

Like I said in the aforementioned wall post...

"I don't mean to be giving a speech about this, but this is serious. What I'm trying to say is that you have the ability to influence the loves of others. Just sitting down with them at lunch could mean a lot to them. You can start friendships. You can help others. You can make the world a better place."

On that note, please do your best to help those around you that are going through tough times. Tell them that tomorrow is a new day and another chance to make things better.

You are capable of doing amazing things. Everyone is. You matter. You are loved.

And most importantly, you can change lives.
