There is a "Mystery" button on a machine I run at work. That isn't labeled and never saw anyone use before. After working there for 5 or more years. i finally got brave enough to push it while I was running it... Nothing happened. I can't tell If I am relived or disappointed lol

I mean that is all logical. But our machine is just a Mereen Johnson 312 Manual, rip saw. And we just got the basic saw, with the basic powered roller infeed, computer input for width selection. a joystick to control the fence, and a button to send the boards through on a pedestal, nothing else besides a wooden table on the out feed side for a laborer to stack off of lol

You could ask either the maintenance guy or the local tech-god (or, if you're in the position to do so, pull the panel and see) if the mystery switch is wired…

Back in the 50's it was not inknown for 'things' to have extraneous buttons just to make them look more 'advanced' Some things like stoves ❗ would have nonfunctional controls as a ruse to help sell them. At the time electronics were still discrete component and adds touting the number of transistors (the newest and bestest tech of the day) in radios etc were advertisd as containing some numer of them (even where some of theose were just soldered to unconnected circuits). In a few cases, the 'extra' transistors were actually the quality contriol rejects.
(Stripping components from junked electronics for one's own hobby builds was a thing back then…)

[Not all instances of dummy buttons are nefarious however as sometimes a manufacturor economizes by using the same panel for two or more models and the dummies are there to seal the holes on the lesser models. ]

Oh damn, I hit 1,900 subscribers today! I can’t believe i’m only 100 subs away from 2k

When I started making skins (terrible skins, but skins nonetheless, lmaoo), I didn’t even think I’d ever hit 50 subscribers. When I did, it felt like I had just won the lottery. Sharing something I’m truly passionate about with like-minded people is the best feeling in the world, and now I’m at 1,900 subscribers. I wish I had a time machine to tell my 15-year-old self—she wouldn't believe it, hahaha!

But seriously, thank you so much for all your support and love. Sharing my designs with you has been incredibly rewarding. Your support and feedback have kept me motivated over these nearly 10 years, and you've been with me through some of the hardest times of my life. Losing my dogs felt like an arrow through my heart each time, but your kindness helped me through those tough moments. Along the way, I've made some amazing friends who have made this journey even more special.

Thank you for being an amazing community. I’m excited to see what the future holds, and I can’t wait to reach 2k with all of you by my side!

I do it all the time. I shake, and pick through a bag of potato chips. To get all the ones with the most flavor/seasoning on them. Then all i am left with is a bag full of bland chips >.<

That strange feeling, when I have a sudden interest for a hobby, that is not my style, and would never actually want to do it, but find it alluring for some sudden reason. If that makes sense?
Case in point: Cycling. Particular motorcycling. I am by no means the type for it, and would never want to do that due to all the increased danger (I am always a "Keep it on the safe side" type person XD). But for some reason the idea of having a Sunday "Cruiser" for casual short drives on the weekend seems drawing. Despite me never actually want to lol
Could you see someone like me riding a Harley??? Hahah Put that image in your mind XD

Your not getting a Hog, Your too cheap to spend the money. A new Harley could cost you as much as a new vehicle with 4 wheels. You won't spend that for just a weekend ride. Most 2 wheeled riders I KNOW have the mindset "its not if you lay the bike over (have a wreck), ITS WHEN". To get your mind off of that, Get a used Can-Am Spyder 3 wheel, Trike. They are fun to ride. Used bike won't break the bank. And they come with automatic gear shifting.
