Now for something different.

Usually I build Medieval-era structures: castles, taverns, cities, what have you. This time I decided to do a slightly more modern project: a suburban home, of the sort you might find in any well-to-do neighborhood. Three bedrooms, three baths, kitchen, living room, dining room; everything you need for a growing family. Three floors, a garage, a patio, an enclosed porch and a sizable yard - complete with fish pond. The house is completely unfurnished (which might make it hard for you to determine which room is which, but it also lets you customize the house to your own particular needs). It's atop a low hill (hence the name, "Hillside home" and surrounded by a number of large elms.

In truth, there's nothing that really screams "modern" about this home except perhaps its size and layout, so it could possibly be used as a small Medieval manor or inn.

I am making this schematic available to the public so others can use them in projects of their own.

This build was created with Minecraft v1.11.2. Earlier versions of Minecraft may not support the full range of blocks and may look odd. As always, I use the John Smith Legacy 1.11.2 v3 resource pack.If you use other texture/resource packs, things might look weird.

Feedback is very welcome so leave a comment if you find this interesting or useful. Like what you see? Click on the "diamond" in the upper left.

If you like this design, please check out sone of my other projects, such as the Walled Medieval Town, my Motte & Bailey Castle, the Abandoned Farm, the Greenfeathers Inn and the Hill Manor. Or check out my Valley of the Knock landscape or any of my other dozen-plus designs and sharable assets.

You are welcome to use this design in any non-commercial mod or design of your own. If you make the project available to the public, please give me proper attribution for my work and link to my PMC member page. Also, I would appreciate if you would provide me with a link to any publically-available project using my work.
