PMC Procedural Metropolis Contest!
Welcome!
In this laboratory you'll find the templates for building and submitting "house" elements to the Infinity Project.
These consist in six building sites of different shapes: [1x1][1x2][2x1][2x2][1x3][2x3] chunks.
To include your buildings in a self-building city:
- Download the laboratory and build your creations inside the templates (rules included)
- Submit the world to the specific event, your creations will be included in a machine of new construction.
- 6 building sites of different sizes, all compatible for easy integration in self-replicating machines
- Auto house rotator: build something to see also the other three rotated instances of your build being created in real time!
- Example world: an area with some examples of how houses which respect the requirements look like.
_About the Infinity Project_
The Infinity Project is the result of years of research and experiment in the field of self-replicating technologies. These are made of modular machines capable of replicating themselves forming a dynamic cluster of modules that works as a whole to achieve the end goal.
The target of the Infinity Project is artificial terraforming; it aims at creating an engine capable of pure creation, which can grow, reorganize the surrounding space and generate entire cities and worlds.
The pool of blueprints of all the elements used by the engine during the Process of creation is defined as Infinity Matrix.
Capsules called Seeds are capable to originate and control the terraforming Process.
Any machine composing the engine is already state of the art and still they are constantly optimized. The virtual capacity of the structures that can be contained in the engine is infinite.

This was the starter map for the Procedural Metropolis project contest (link in the description)
You can find the road segments in the final result with all the contest submissions too!

But it's not over yet! I don't know your exact situation but there is still an entire day ahead, try to do your best :-) And if you like the contest, but don't manage to finish your submission, there may be the possibility of organizing also similar events in the future!
Take a look at my example builds and at the other 42 submissions of the contest to see examples of how how houses can be fitted in the given areas. There is still time! :)
It's better to avoid complex circuits, while they should work fine, I'm afraid that if too many people build complex circuits that "do stuff" in their build, than this will make the machine much heavier to run on low spec PCs.
I don't want to risk that some people aren't able to generate their cities with your builds included because of this problem! If you want to do a special lighting system with redstone or a teleporting elevator with command blocks it’s ok, but try to stay contained and absolutely avoid automatic machines! Your devices must be user-activated!
