wild that the situation got so out of hand in the first place but this is great
still not happy about how the mods handled it, very unprofessional, and even the official response from the super mod was fluffed with corpo speak
but direct links to these resources are great

Been stuck like this for the last 16 hours or so. Any idea how to fix this aside from just waiting it out?

This exact thing happened to me with the builder/crafter cape a few months back now, everyone was saying the same thing you are, go get it via tiktok. As someone who refuses to install and/or use tiktok, that wasn't an option for me. It's literally just a matter of waiting a couple days, as it was for the builder/crafter cape.

today's skin remake is shiva of the east!!

very cool npc from dark souls but i did him dirty with the first iteration because of this nasty habit i had of compromising on colors/design when i felt the source material was too difficult/complicated to translate... but the new version reflects his actual appearance a lot better imo :] im happy widdit

hey-hey all,

regarding some recently-deleted posts, please be mindful that the staff team is all for showing love and support for others. we want you guys to be there for one another, and recognize the value in having a community you can fall back on for reassurance through highs, but especially through lows.

but, we also need to be mindful of how we communicate our support for others. it's easy to fall into some bad habits that can, maybe counterintuitively, hurt more than they help. that's not to say that the term "suicide" is forbidden. i know it's a touchy subject, and the word itself kind of sticks to the roof of your mouth, but september is suicide prevention awareness month and it's good to be up front, and to use the proper term for this particular type of crisis scenario.

the problem (if you can call it that, but i don't think of it as a "problem" so much as a "misunderstanding") isn't that you guys are trying to help, or that your vocabulary is crass or offensive. please know that. i love that you guys help each other through rough patches.

our team is just worried for the possibility that users may feel pressure to act as crisis councilors, as opposed to as friends or those who would like to show support. this kind of pressure can have a negative effect on other peoples' mental health, especially in those individuals who do not have professional training in crisis counseling.

if you feel a fellow PMC user is in genuine crisis, that is, you believe they're in danger of harming themselves and/or others, please contact our team before you contact anyone else. report the comment/wallpost/forums post, or else make a private ticket and/or send a private message to our team. we regularly connect people with resources for help.

if you have any questions, please reach out to me or create a support ticket. Below are a couple of resources for those experiencing suicidal ideation or who are otherwise in crisis

https://988lifeline.org/ call, text, or chat with crisis counselors 24/7
https://www.thetrevorproject.org/get-help/ call text, or chat with crisis counselors 24/7

regards,

I remember one case, my friend having a hard time and they got a pm from pmc itself with support and hotlines

Zord • 2026-09-20 23:34:41

Well this sounds like the most corporate response you guys could give... I'll be honest right away and say I'm not even in the loop with what happened, but the message sounds clear enough if you read past the layers of careful wording you put so much effort into.

Purpl3_ thankfully pretending to be "crisis counselors" is not even remotely close to what we were doing :D
drzzter • 2026-09-20 23:33:57

i understand, but the urgency that is sometimes communicated through wall posts can (accidentally or not) give that impression, or encourage others to act in that capacity. the wording of a post can easily take a situation from "my friend could really use some cheering up, or a shoulder to cry on" to "i personally need to do something right now or my friend may die" the implicit emotional stress and guilt of which is above and beyond the scope of what we expect or want our members to experience. that's why we would like to, in such scenarios, instead direct people to professional resources.

i'll be signing off for now, i have work in the morning. if you'd like to talk more about this, i can get back with you tomorrow evening. goodnight! (or day, or whatever time of day it is for you!)

drzzter • 2026-09-20 23:13:09

most definitely. we should just be careful that we're encouraging people to act in their capacity as friends, and not as crisis counselors, which can be dangerous for both parties. if you have a specific post in mind that you're asking about, you can send it my way, or post it as a private support ticket to have it "vetted" before you post it publicly.

today's skin remakes are....... plague knight and specter knight from shovel knight!! i liked both of these fairly-well when i made them but was really frustrated by the shape of the plague mask on plague knight (and im still not entirely happy w it but i think it's a step in the right direction!!)

with these remakes i was really trying to bring them closer in-line with the reference material (colors + design) while also making the shading more interesting to look at :]

(new versions on left, old versions on right)!

Let's get off the struggle bus

We rolled out some server upgrades today, all about speed, better experience and handling even more creative traffic. Looking better on our end, but does the site feel faster to you? Faster, same, weird... let me know. Just getting started.
