Whether it’s your favorite treat, brewing a delicious stew, mixing a refreshing drink or inventing a totally new recipe, this is your chance to mix, mash, and serve up something unforgettable. Let your imagination simmer and let's see what you've got for us to try.
PLEASE change the logo to a pixel consistent one🙏 i know youve had that one for a long time but PLEASE 😭 it would look way better and wouldnt be all that different (no offense)
Well, a jam is a PMC feature that allows people to submit skins, texture packs, maps, etc. often going off of a theme. This one in particular is autumn/fall themed. It will likely be held during… well… Fall!
Help bring our upcoming October in-game event to life by creating a festive NPC skin! Think scarecrow farmers, pie vendors, wandering storytellers, anyone you'd meet at a cozy Fall celebration. Give them a name, a location in the festival, and maybe even a few fun lines of dialog. Your creation could become part of the festival world!
We're gearing up for an exciting Fall Festival on Planet Minecraft, and we need your creativity to make it spectacular! Join the Planting Season Jam by contributing builds, blogs, or art inspired by autumn themes like harvest, cozy vibes, and festive celebrations.
How to Participate:
Builds & Assets: Create structures or decorative items that capture the essence of fall.
Blogs & Art: Share stories, ideas, or artwork envisioning the perfect fall festival.
Submission Guidelines:
Theme: Focus on autumn-related concepts—think pumpkins, falling leaves, and harvest festivals.
Format: Provide your creations as Minecraft maps, schematics, or blog posts.
Compatibility: Ensure builds are compatible with Minecraft Java version 1.21.5.
Get involved in a community-led PMC tradition—SSPBL's palette contests are back, and Season 9 is in full swing! Week 1 just wrapped up, and now you can step in and help decide who advances to Week 2!
PBL is an exciting, bracket-style competition where participants face off in weekly rounds, each with a fresh and challenging palette that pushes their skinning skills to the limit. The best part? YOU get to vote on who moves forward, so your voice shapes the competition! Oh and watch for a twist...
Head over to CAST YOUR VOTES and help crown the Season 9 champion!
We've revamped our Site Rules with new sections focused on Social Interactions and Moderation— to help make the platform more welcoming and transparent for everyone.
✅ What’s new?
Our content rules remain the same, but the Social section is all about outlining what’s already been happening naturally but wasn't documented! This is to help newcomers understand how to engage positively and give everyone a clearer reference point. Ideally, if it helps prevent even small misunderstandings or frustrations, it's a win.
The Moderation section provides some insight into our responsibilities and actions. It's one small step towards offering transparency so you know how we keep the community fun, safe, and respectful. We're working on a larger update to this end.
We’re also compiling FAQs to make your PMC experience even smoother for both new members and exploring features of our platform! You can help us out by posting in this forum. Just prepend your thread title with “FAQ:” and—bonus points!—if you can provide the answers in your thread. Every contribution helps the community grow stronger and helps us understand what needs to be answered!
Let’s keep building an awesome community together.
i really have 0 interest in One Piece but my bf wanted me to make a Luffy skin :| so look out for that this week. might turn it into a speedpaint, we'll see
i say the phrase "I wanna play hytale" out loud to my friends at least once a day. if it finally comes out while i'm still in college i think ima have to drop out.
anyone else still waiting hytale? i feel like im the only person who still remembers it T^T
oh I had no idea Riot bought them whattt??? That's defo a pretty good sign (I'm assuming we're talking about Riot Games, I've never heard of any other game studio with Riot in the name :') ). I forget it exists sometimes but I'm still excited to play it when it finally comes out
they post on their blog like twice a year & from the sound of the most recent one..they might get to playtesting this year but they're still a wayyyssss away from release. hoping the game will be v polished when it comes out 🤞
I am also aware of its existence, but I'd rather keep my expectations at bay. I'm not sure how much will it take for the devs to complete the game, but given the effort they're putting into it, it's only a matter of time (and who knows how much) before they release it someday.
i literally talked to someone about hytale just last week after forgetting about it for like 4 years lmao "whatever happened to hytale?" checked the blog..still the same as it was. they restarted a major part of development..again
ok guys ive been on hiatus for awhile and there's a lotta new stuff...
1) what's the deal with jams? 2) what are CFTs / does the community actually care about them 3) not a PMC thing but does anyone know what the Skindex's policy on commissions are? like are you allowed to link your comms in your bio or in a comment, or will that get you banned (a few years ago I got temp-banned for this, but maybe thats changed)
it's worth noting that jams don't cover all contest/event types as there's a 5-entry-per-person limit so if you're doing a long-form event/contest that requires multiple entries from contestants, forums are still probably the better option
jams are just contests so now you dont have to use forums. CFTs were added in April Fools as fake NFTs. i dont know who cares but i just get the daily pack just because

also saw this in the ownership of intellectual properties section:

edit: these two pages should answer your other two questions
jams are contests/events, ranked/finalists are contests, unranked are events CTF are joke trading cards, you "buy" them from your level money I am not a skindexer
