We're somehow already halfway through May! This means that we're closer to summer, but it also means the deadlines for this month's contests are approaching quick!



Today is also Minecraft's 10th Anniversary! Happy Anniversary, Minecraft! As Cib said it perfectly in his forum discussion Celebrate Minecraft's 10th Anniversary, that's "10 years of crafting, building, slashing, clicking and tapping." Cib also shares a couple of ideas if you want to join in on the celebration, but are not sure how:

- Download the free anniversary map for Java or Bedrock for free by BlockWorks
- Ride a wave of nostalgia all the way back to the days of Minecraft Classic
- Celebrate with Minecraft.net by viewing their anniversary page, timeline and special announcements!


In addition to this forum thread, Cib just released their Minecraft 10th Anniversary Project! The build includes a short but sweet timeline of Minecraft over the past decade.

The project contest, Preserving World Heritage also ends May 27th. For this contest, you'll choose a property from the UNESCO World Heritage List. Pick your favorite or one that inspires you the most. We've seen some great entries already!

DragonsDungeon pulled off another skin series collaboration, Pokemon Universe. The collaboration produced a collection of 22 awesome pokemon skins. If you're interested in hosting a similar event, DragonsDungeon wrote a wall post with helpful tips!

PMC Member MrNovoa_ was featured on Minecraft.net in an article, Air Traffic. The article covers MrNovoa_'s Steampunk Airplane build as well as their Magical Forest Wolf and Dream of Paradise build and gives insight on the challenges faced when an organics builder attempts to build non-organics.

Asking for help doesn't make you weak. You're stronger when you admit to yourself there is a problem.

Progress is good, results are better.

It's perfectly fine to not like what others do and to enjoy what others hate. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it has to be for you.

However, it's better to have a reason than simply just because. That doesn't make you hip or cool and makes you seem arrogant and ill-informed.

The best of success comes at the cost of dozens of failures.

Given enough time and patience, you can always be at least decent at something. How you feel about it is what matters. Don't try to impress others because they'll constantly set that bar higher.

Even the most wilted flower will come back to life if given enough care and attention. However, don't feel as if you need to save every petal in the nursery, sometimes it is better to plant a new set of seeds.

While I don't say much and do have some grudges, I do envy when someone tries to make things right. I wish that I could offer a hand, but I am an unwanted poison and that is fine by me. For them, I will stand aside and bow, willing to offer advice should they ask.

Edit: Also, to the rest of you I have foxes ready to let loose in the chicken coop because you need some exercise.

To whoever updated the entire site in my absence, let me say I absolutely love the new tools. Everything is so crisp and clean. No more fighting with UI elements and struggling to see what's what.
