Previously, we followed the Soda Strike Team as they entered the End and met with Lord Piaccu in his fortress in Void City in an attempt to convince him to send the Ender Army to battle in the Nether War. However, after Piaccu refused, Pig spotted a piglin scout in the Chorus Woods near the edge of the city. Under Sgt. Porkus' orders, piglin soldiers storm the city, killing innocent civilians. The only way to stop it was for Piaccu to surrender to the Butchers atop the spire at the center of his fortress, which is what he did. However, when the Butchers didn't follow through on their promise, Piaccu attacked them, going against his pacifist vows.

Everyone is surprised to see Piaccu ready to fight, as he has said countless times that he is a pacifist. As the Butchers recover from the explosion from Pig's grenade, the Soda Strike Team turns to Piaccu. "What was that?" IGE asks. "You just slashed Sgt. Porkus with a spear!" Chaos says. "I know, I know." Piaccu responds to the two of them. "But why?" Ella asks. "Yeah, I thought you were a pacifist." Pig adds. "Well, after seeing my home get destroyed by a bunch of savage pig men, I realized that maybe it was okay to fight if it was for the things you love." Piaccu explains. "Cut the mushy-mushy stuff!" Hellsnout says as he fires up his flamethrower, shooting a burst of flame at the group. Endrys rushes into the flame's path, using his Endersteel shield (which was previously mounted on his back) to block the fire.

"Alright, guys, I guess it's time to fight some hogs." Worpin says. The Soda Strike Team begin firing on the Crimson Butchers, and everyone picks a target: Worpin and Endrys team up to battle Hoghead, Pig challenges Fungar, Chaos readies his electro-machete to fight alongside Ella against Hellsnout, and IGE and Piaccu prepare to fight Porkus himself. "Alright, you little son of corn muffin!" Pig says. "I'm going to blow you into next week." He throws several grenades at the fungus thrower, who responds by chucking a few blast fungus spores at Pig. He dodges them, but Fungar forgets to avoid the grenades and is blasted to the edge of spire roof. Pig, getting an idea, pulls the pin on another, more powerful grenade and rolls it towards Fungar's feet and the guard railing of the roof. The explosion behind him (caused by an end crystal) pushes the grenade further. Too focused on getting an explosive and too weak to get up because his legs were injured by the blast, Fungar doesn't see the grenade at first and is unable to get in time before it explodes, the powerful blast damaging the railing and sending both Fungar and part of railing off of the edge. Pig rushes to the edge and fires a few laser blasts at his enemy, killing him before he can hit the ground.

Meanwhile, Chaos and Ella battle the flamethrower-wielding pyromaniac that is Hellsnout. "I'm gonna cook you two alive!" he says, his voice full of madness. He fires up his flamethrower and burns a line of fire before him. "Ella, throw down your water." Chaos says. "I have an idea." Ella opens her water bottle and splatters water all over the line of fire. As it slides across the ground towards Hellsnout, Chaos activates his electro-machete and electrifies the water, which touches Hellsnout, zapping him. As the pyromaniacal piglin stumbles backwards, Ella rushes in and starts punching him in the face. However, he punches her in the gut, knocking her back. Chaos, angered that he hurt his teammate and friend, drops his machete and starts firing on Hellsnout, who responds by dodging the laser blasts and firing up his flamethrower again. Chaos ducks under the flame, and then gets an idea. "Worpin, toss me a crystal!" he shouts. Worpin briefly turns away from his battle with Hoghead and pulls an end crystal off of his tactical belt and tosses it to Chaos, who catches it. "Everyone get out of the way!" He takes out an obsidian cube, places it down, and then places the end crystal on top of it. As everyone gets out of the way, the fire triggers the end crystal, with the explosion knocking everyone back and knocking Hellsnout off the roof and down to the ground. Chaos and Ella rush to the edge and see a guard impale the shattered body of Hellsnout with a spear.

While everyone else battles their targets, Worpin and his brother duel with Hoghead in a 2-on-1 battle. Even the strongest warriors in the Ender Army are having trouble fighting Hoghead. Then, Endrys pulls out a small dagger and stabs the sword-wielding piglin through his armor, right in the chest. He pulls out the dagger and throws it on the ground, still strong enough to fight. He uses one of his golden swords to knock Worpin's spear out of his hand, and the head of the royal guard responds by warping behind Hoghead and kicking him in the back. "You get rid of my spear, I kick you!" the commander says as his foot hits his opponent's back. As he loses his balance and falls forward, Endrys slices Hoghead's left arm, and with it, his dominant hand, clean off. As blood drips from what's left of his arm, Hoghead swings his other sword with less precision, due to using his right hand. However, he is knocked back by an end crystal explosion, and dies instantly after he hits Worpin's spear, which he had gotten back and ran behind his enemy after obtaining, knowing what the end crystal blast would do. As his armor and flesh are pierced by the Endersteal spear, Worpin rapidly throws his sword at IGEBM, in attempt to avenge his brother. "IGE, look out!" Endrys shouts.

As everyone else fights, IGEBM and Piaccu team up to battle Sgt. Porkus himself. The brutish piglin swings his massive mace around, barely missing his opponents, who are skilled in dodging weapons of all kinds. "Piaccu, I never knew you could fight!" IGE says as they dodge Porkus' mace swings. "I learned when I was quite young!" the poet responds, doing a hit from the mace. "It's just that there was a day in my life when something terrible happened due to a fight and, seeing the dangers of violence and combat, I took a vow to never fight again, and became a pacifist!" He warps behind Porkus and tries to strangle piglin, but is thrown off and onto the ground by the powerful warrior. IGE shoots Porkus with a light blast and combats his mace by creating a light kusarigama, which he swings at Porkus. The blade manages to make a dent in the tough Netherite chain holding the mace together. "Piaccu, aim for the chain!" IGE shouts. However, before they can, everyone is knocked back by an end crystal blast. As Porkus gets up, he notices IGE and Piaccu still on the ground. Since they were a little closer to the crystal, he thinks they may have been crippled by the blast. As he moves closer to IGEBM prepares to crush him with his mace, IGE swiftly spins around, sweep kicking Porkus, and causing him to lose his balance. Piaccu warps out of the way and throws an Endersteel dagger at the chain of his mace, which breaks it. Porkus sees this as he lands on the ground, and lets go of his mace. "I don't need weapons to take down two scrawny little teleporters." he says as he stands up. He charges at the two, and IGEBM tries to hold him back. Then, he hears Endrys' voice calling his name and turns to see a golden sword flying at him. Entering light mode, the sword goes right through him, as does Porkus, and the blade goes straight through the Butcher's head.

Everyone looks around. "Did we actually just do that?" Ella asks. "Heck yeah!" Pig responds. "We just killed the rest of the Crimson Butchers!" "They're all dead?" Chaos asks. "Porkus is definitely dead." Endrys says. "You can't survive a sword through the head." "And the others?" Piaccu asks. "Hellsnout was killed by a guard when he was knocked over the side and fell to the ground." Chaos responds. "And I shot Fungar dead in midair." Pig adds. "Hoghead was impaled by my spear." Worpin says, shaking some blood off of his spear. Piaccu walks to the railing, looking at his city. "After seeing what these people can do, I don't want you to lose your home either." he says, turning to face everyone. "IGEBM, tell Silabear I'll be sending my troops through portals across the Overworld to join the war later today." "Thank you." IGE says. Then, he hears a ring coming from his phone. He pulls it out. "It's Axo. He never calls us unless it's something really important." IGE nervously answers the call. "IGEBM, you and the team need to get back here!" the general shouts. "The city is under siege! Somehow, the army broke through our shields!" "Go." Piaccu says. "We'll take care of the city." Worpin adds. "The portal is in the plaza." Endrys says. "I remember." Pig responds. "We passed by it on our way here." "C'mon, let's go!" Chaos says. "Time to fight some more piglins!" Ella cheers.

The Soda Strike Team run to the railing, jumping over it and taking flight with their elytras. They land in the middle of the street and run to the plaza, where they hop into the portal. When they arrive in the portal room beneath Cyprezz Tower, they notice that one of the portals isn't blocked, with bits of deepslate lying on the ground. "I'm already worried." Pig says. Drawing their rifles, the team sneak up the stairs to find that the building seems fine, except that it's empty and the lights are off, but there's no damage to the structure. "So far, so good." Chaos says. "You were saying?" IGE gestures to the glass doors, which are open. In the street, Nether Army troops are battling PMC Military troops. In the distance, IGE can see a massive hole has been bored into the defensive shield that was surrounding the city. "What happened?" he wonders aloud as his phone rings again.

EARLY ACCESS

As with the previous chapter, I used a random number generator (the number list will be included below) to determine who would get early access to the story. I generated 3 different numbers between 1 and 5, with the plan being for the last one that was generated to be the person who gets early access, and on the third generation, I got 3, which was TheMcPig, so I PMed him the story on 4-9 and he got to read it 2 days early. I'm gonna do this for every story, if I complete it at least 2 days before the usual release date of the coming Tuesday.
