is pmcskin3d broken on mobile rn for anyone else or is it a me issue?

also i can't make a ticket because the text editor isn't showing up on mobile either (for the tickets, it's fine here, but still can't add an image)..so i wouldn't be able to add an image, which feels kinda..important for a bug report since i don't even know where to begin with describing it

what movies do you all like to watch for spooky season?

one of my faves is misery starring kathy bates. no ghosts, no supernatural slashers, & quite different from the book, but still a fantastic psychological horror film.
    eluusive • 2026-10-04 11:46:45
practical magic. i love the campiness and it’s very fall vibes. other than that, criminal minds <3
    BlueBoyBuilds • 2026-10-03 10:51:52
I don’t dabble often in spooky movies, for the autumn I love cozy-vibe movies, Charlie Brown, Robin Hood (1973), Fantastic Mr. Fox and the like! When it comes to spooks, I usually like TV shows, Widow’s Bay was my most recent watch, it’s really good!!!

Beetlejuice, Batman (1989), Batman Returns, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus and others.

    hey-hey all,

regarding some recently-deleted posts, please be mindful that the staff team is all for showing love and support for others. we want you guys to be there for one another, and recognize the value in having a community you can fall back on for reassurance through highs, but especially through lows.

but, we also need to be mindful of how we communicate our support for others. it's easy to fall into some bad habits that can, maybe counterintuitively, hurt more than they help. that's not to say that the term "suicide" is forbidden. i know it's a touchy subject, and the word itself kind of sticks to the roof of your mouth, but september is suicide prevention awareness month and it's good to be up front, and to use the proper term for this particular type of crisis scenario.

the problem (if you can call it that, but i don't think of it as a "problem" so much as a "misunderstanding") isn't that you guys are trying to help, or that your vocabulary is crass or offensive. please know that. i love that you guys help each other through rough patches.

our team is just worried for the possibility that users may feel pressure to act as crisis councilors, as opposed to as friends or those who would like to show support. this kind of pressure can have a negative effect on other peoples' mental health, especially in those individuals who do not have professional training in crisis counseling.

if you feel a fellow PMC user is in genuine crisis, that is, you believe they're in danger of harming themselves and/or others, please contact our team before you contact anyone else. report the comment/wallpost/forums post, or else make a private ticket and/or send a private message to our team. we regularly connect people with resources for help.

if you have any questions, please reach out to me or create a support ticket. Below are a couple of resources for those experiencing suicidal ideation or who are otherwise in crisis

https://988lifeline.org/ call, text, or chat with crisis counselors 24/7
https://www.thetrevorproject.org/get-help/ call text, or chat with crisis counselors 24/7

    regards,

How do you find color inspiration for Minecraft skins? 🎨

When designing a Minecraft skin, where do you usually get your color inspiration?

Sometimes a small change in the palette can completely change the personality of a skin.

I'm curious how other skin creators approach it:

    • Do you start with the character concept?

    • Use colors from real animals or clothing?

    • Build a custom palette from scratch?

    • Take inspiration from existing Minecraft textures?

    • Experiment with different combinations?

I've been using this Minecraft color-code reference while experimenting with palettes:

    https://www.minecraftusername.com/minecraft-color-codes

What is your favorite way to find colors for a new skin?

How do you choose colors for a Minecraft skin? 🎨

When you're creating a Minecraft skin, how do you choose the colors?

I’ve noticed that a good color palette can make a huge difference, especially when trying to make a skin look unique without using too many colors.

I'm curious how other skin creators work:

    • Do you start with a specific palette?

    • Take colors from real images?

    • Experiment until something looks right?

    • Use Minecraft color references?

I found this Minecraft color-code reference useful when experimenting with different colors:

    https://www.minecraftusername.com/minecraft-color-codes

What color do you find yourself using most often in your skins?
    TheShadyy • 2026-08-24 12:30:46
it depends what skin I’m making. Usually when it’s a reference, I use an image and take the hex codes, and then do a hue shift as needed. (Moreso recently)

if I’m experimenting, just until it looks right. A bit more fine tuning is requires as there isn’t usually a direct reference, and requires a bit more creative work.

palletwork I’m still lacking in. I haven’t used a specific pallet before, but I usually use the same or similar pixels already used within the skin.

Skin artists can now choose whether to disable downloads on per skin basis. Why? Because some artists want to share their personal skins, some want to share commissions, and some just want credit and more control over how their work gets used elsewhere.

When you upload or edit a skin (or mob skin), you'll find a new "Allow public downloads" toggle. Turn it off and:
    • The download button disappears from the page
    • The direct download link is blocked, even if someone has it bookmarked
    • Your skin still shows up fully in listings, your profile, and search. It's just view-only

This is opt-in and only affects new uploads or skins you edit. Nothing changes for your existing downloadable content unless you flip the switch yourself.

Artists please note that this feature discourages casual downloads but cannot guarentee complete protection of your work. Hoping to see some high quality inspirational skins that would otherwise never see the light of PMC!
